I am planning to create user profiles in KODI to handle the content visibility between parents and kids and am wondering how Yatse will be handling these profiles within one host. Didn’t find any description in WIKI, FAQ or the community.

It’s because Kodi API lacks most of the things necessary to properly handle profiles 
What most people do if you really want to use profile is configure different port for Kodi webserver in each profiles and configure 2 hosts in Yatse for each profile.
Be sure to have Event Server enabled on main profile too to have the remote screen working during profile login as JSON is not working at that time.
