If I am using Yatse to control a local Kodi installation using a local IP address, why does it require an internet connection to work? I live rural, and often have internet connection issues. When the internet is down, Yatse always says not connected to Kodi. I have a router separate from the modem, so the local network always remains up, Yatse just fails to connect to the local kodi install. Why is that?
Because this is how Android works It report wifi down when no internet.
You can just uncheck the wifi only option in the host settings to workaround that.
In the: Editing Host > Advanced area, Only Connect on WIFI was/is already unchecked.
Then you need to provide logs as the template you removed says
