I am aware that this might be considered out of the intended use, but it’s worth a try:
Yatse is totally capable of waking up the selected kodi server.
Yatse is also able to wake up other devices through the kodi server.
What I would like to is waking up other devices directly from Yatse, a functionality similar to the one in Kodi where we basically specify the device’s MAC address/port, and Yatse sends directly the package to it, without going through Kodi.
I have some scenarios/remotes that depend on Kodi to be running to work for the 1st step (to WOL the device), but it’s a “fake/forced” dependency.
As I said, I know Yatse was mainly designed to be used with Kodi, but the custom commands are so powerful that have converted the tool into an almost universal remote control, and considering that the functionality is already partially developed (for waking up the kodi server), I think the cost of extending it to any other device would not be “that high” (and also highly appreciated).
