I purchased the latest Yatse Jan 2026 for the purposes of controlling Kodi with Alexa. The Yatse app installed correctly. However, when I went to install the “Voice assistant plugin for Yatse” I was met with “This app isn’t available for your device because it was made for an older version of Android.” I am running Android 16 on the Pixel 10.
I appreciate the difficulties the developers must face dealing with Google’s constantly moving target. However, the sole purpose I purchased the app was for voice integration. I’d rather use a remote to control Kodi than my phone, but far better (for me) would be voice control.
Will there be a compatible version forthcoming? If not, what is suggested for controlling Kodi by Alexa?
