I’m not sure if this is a bug or missing feature, but on tv shows streaming from Yatse via UPNP, it doesn’t send a seek to the resume time when selecting play and choosing the resume. Playing to UPNP on a mirascreen device that does support seek as I can manually seek by sliding the timeline slider. If seek is implemented, it is possible the seek is sent before the upnp media is loaded and ready to accept the seek.
As suspected your UPnP renderer does accept the seek without an error, so there’s no retry on Yatse side since it’s supposed to be OK.
For the moment I have no solution for those kind of renderers
I have the following problem:
When I cast from emby or plex to my Samsung smart tv with yatse through dlna, the playing starts fine, but there’s only one control possibility: stop playing. Every other button is unavailable on the tv’s media player as well as on yatse (like pause, fast forward, rewind, seek…)
Other dlna solutions are working all right, but I love yatse, it’s an amazing piece of software!
Am I missing some kind of settings?
Yatse never hide buttons so I’m not sure about your issue description.
When streaming from Plex and Emby there’s often transcoding, depending on the transcoding settings the stream may or may not be seekable.
Anyway this is totally unrelated to this issue
