Sort smart sync download order

This is just a minor annoyance, but it might also be an easy fix. This is why I’m putting in an request, but please ignore it if it is more than a few minutes work :grinning:

I use smart-sync to download the next five episodes on my phone for my commute. Currently this seems to be done in a random order. But sometimes I’m in a hurry and don’t have time to wait until all episodes are downloaded. So it would be helpful if Smart-Sync would do the download in order starting from the next unwatched episode. So I would have something to watch even if the queue wasn’t fully downloaded.

This is already the case, I’ll need logs to see what you are talking about.

I guess in this case it is not a matter of a few minutes :thinking: Thanks for taking a look at this issue.

I’ve attached the log of my last sync and two screenshots showing the resulting download-queue. As you see for some reason episode 60 is downloaded first and than it goes in the reverse order from 65 to 57… But that is not always the case - I’ve seen different orders as well.

Ok so yes episodes are queued in order, but in the middle there’s a resolution step that goes full multi-threading without any guaranteed ordering :frowning:

Moving this back as a feature request :slight_smile:
