The filter icon does change color, but it is still not obvious unless you use filters often. There is no message displayed at all either, so not sure where you mean.
I cannot forget to add that I love this application and really appreciate the work that has been put into it. I am not crying about it, but I raised this issue because although I am a longtime user, I got caught out, and spent a lot of time head scratching. It may also help others.
“Filtered” in round brackets could appear next to “Kodi” as in “Kodi (filtered)”, just above the “Playing to:”
Or displayed in the left menu.
Or as a brief toast message when the application is entered. “Filters are active”
“Offline Mode” could be used if you like.
I have a feeling people may just reinstall the app to get around it otherwise, which would be a shame.
Look, I am not in the business of upsetting you or anyone else. Just thought something along those lines might be useful. Sorry if I have upset you. That is/was not my intention. Should my suggestions prove useful great, if not, I honestly still very much enjoy your work and wish you all the best.
I’m not upset and this is covered in the FAQ but as said I have no idea what to do.
The filters are specific to each screens or not depending on them so unfortunately none of those really solve the issue.
Some filters are even automatic depending on your settings and change with time.
For the title it would means title change when browsing and would be even less visible than the filter color that is more visible. Furthermore default Kodi name when auto detected via zeroconf if Kodi (PC-NAME).
So I know you want to help, but this is a complex issue that was thought a lot over the years, if there was something easy / obvious it would have been done
If people do not see the color and the message in the center of the screen they also would not understand what (filtered) means and what to do next.
