When in file mode (left menu “File” entry), if no thumbnail is available, a generic file icon is shown.
Since the extension is hidden when the filename is too long, the icon could include the file extension (mp4, mkv, etc.), maybe with a different color for each extension type for easier recognition. Just like it is in a OS.
