I’m using Kodi on an nvidia Shield. It will be very nice if the Yatse remote can also control the interface of Android TV and not only Kodi. Is this something you have thought about yet?

Just for your information, it’s not that easy but you can find API documentation from some manufacturers (e.g. Yamaha or Sony) in Internet and integrate some commands through the “Custom Commands > HTTP commands plugin” feature.
Thanks to this plus the “combined commands” feature, I am able to perform several actions (e.g. turn tv/avr on/off, select HDMI input/output on both avr/tv, …) by just pressing one button in Yatse.
If I were you I would check for that API documentation for nvidia (if available, probably it won’t be at nvidia webpage)
