I have been trying to stream a video from my phone to kodi 19 but it doesn’t open the video file, the loading circle appears and stays for a while then it cancels, any help?
Without the mandatory logs I can’t tell anything.
Yatse + Kodi logs.
But sounds like Large seeks in HTTP audio streams cause the skipped over bytes to be read (instead of using byte-range requests) · Issue #19415 · xbmc/xbmc · GitHub but without logs can’t report to them.
Here are the kodi logs kodi.log (938.5 KB)
2021-03-23 10:13:25.601 T:7718 DEBUG : ScanForExternalSubtitles: END (total time: 146339 ms)
Kodi now scan for subs and bugs on it trying to download the whole file will see how to report to them for fix.
It was working fine on kodi 18.9, is it a problem from matrix?
Yes side effect of Allow internetstream video sources in a LAN to look for exernal subtitle files. by snaunton · Pull Request #17491 · xbmc/xbmc · GitHub (Do not post on that issue please)
Is there a way to fix that?
Revert to 18.9 or hope for 19.1 fix.
Alright, would revert to 18.9, thanks
So actually there’s a workaround on Yatse side possible, will be present in next release.
Great, when do you think the next release would be?
It’s already in Beta on Play Store.
