Android Lock screen widget is gone

I am running Yatse on A Samsung phone, Android 8.0.0, Samsung Experience 9.0.0. Everything is at the most current versions. The lock screen widget for Yatse was working before the latest system update, but it no longer appears, not on the “Always On” screen, nor the Lock screen. Any suggestions?

Google have removed that on new versions. You need to activate the option show notifications. (And keep the show lockscreen controls to still have the full size art + offline volume control.

(Yes Google does strange choices :p)

Thanks for the help…I followed your suggestions and the widgets are back now. Unfortunately the “Always On” widget simply displays what is playing, without the player controls. But it’s an improvement!

This not under my control, samsung loves to do what they want.
