# Custom Command - Playback speed

Good evening everyone,
I tried to create a custom command after reading [Yatse Custom Commands](https://yatse.tv/wiki/yatse-custom-commands), but I’m not getting there.
Since it’s possible to vary the playback speed with my physical keyboard from 0.8x to 1.5x by pressing alt + left arrow or alt + right arrow, I would like to have that functionality with yatse as well.
According to the [https://kodi.wiki/view/List\_of\_keynames](https://kodi.wiki/view/List_of_keynames) I figured the commands should look like this:
leftalt, right
or
VK\_LMENU, VK\_RIGHT
and left for the other one.
But this didn’t work.
Can someone give me a hint regarding the syntax?

Yatse natively support atempo if you have event server on Kodi side working.

I see this question was closed as solved, but I still need some help here. I don’t see a way to control the kodi playback speed through Yatse. The keyboard shortcut for this is LeftAlt + Right Key (Speed Up, 1.1X) and LeftAlt and Left Key (Speed Down, 0.9X) etc.
I just purchased the paid version thinking it was a paid only feature, but still no luck. I read through the wiki and don’t see a video payback speed control button. Am I missing something?
